Contracts include full maintenance cover and accessories and consumables are also included. Genmed can provide equipment from all major manufacturers of flexible endoscopes. The relationship with these suppliers means that Genmed can construct a contract containing one or all suppliers providing the Trust with a full choice of equipment. Whether taking over existing equipment or providing new at the start of the contract, Genmed assumes the risk of ensuring that the clinician has the correct equipment and consumables to carry out planned procedures.
Genmed’s service may include permanent site-based personnel who support the service but also to drive forward projects agreed with the customer. Genmed’s aim is to enable clinical staff to perform clinical functions by removing the administrative burden from them wherever possible.
The Trust will be allocated a designated Account Manager, who, along with support staff based across Genmed’s three UK offices, manages all supply chain and data analysis activity. Genmed staff work continuously with customers to drive through efficiency savings.
Genmed manages suppliers of consumables, equipment and maintenance ensuring they perform in accordance with agreed SLAs and KPI’s. We are very experienced processing large quantities of orders and invoices for large quantities of product lines.
To enable a tax efficient compliant contract structure Genmed would need to include endoscope reprocessing. If this was desirable for the customer, this could involve TUPE of cleaning room staff.
Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NNUH) appointed Genmed as its managed service Provider for flexible endoscopy, in December 2018. A ten-room endoscopy centre at the Quadram Institute is being run under a managed service agreement between NNUH and Genmed, which includes all endoscopes and associated equipment.
